Data Tools for Monitoring and Program Improvement

Data must be submitted at least quarterly. All data submissions are done through WABERS+, with built-in data monitoring and error identification. WABERS+ captures attendance hours, test forms with their program type, and test scores and compares the accuracy of subsequent forms used, testing intervals, etc., to the state assessment policy. The WABERS+ Helpdesk staff assist providers with technical questions, training, and error correction.

State program staff contact local staff as issues arise through the desk audit process. State staff also conduct regular on-site monitoring and take copies of submitted data with them to verify their veracity.

Additionally, the Council for Basic Skills (CBS)--the organization of all providers--meets at least quarterly and  discusses assessment and reporting practices.
