Data Tools for Monitoring and Program Improvement:

New program directors, data system administrators and/or other key data entry staff receive a 6-hour onboarding training from the AEI Office about how to use the statewide database. Training for new LACES users and experienced LACES users is also provided by LiteracyPro Systems annually. Ongoing technical assistance and support is available to all AEFLA staff utilizing the system.

State office staff check data for compliance monthly. If there are data errors, local programs are contacted to fix the errors.

Local level data assurances are reviewed by grantee-level data staff annually. Key data staff at each adult education program are required to complete a Moodle course and knowledge check covering the data assurances.

Request for applications and continuation applications include data targets and data assurances and are reviewed by state office staff.

Meeting data entry requirements and performance accountability targets are factors in the annual risk assessment. Data assurances compliance is an element in virtual and on-site monitoring processes.

Data procedures and monitoring are topics programs may choose to reflect on in the Mid-year and Annual Progress Reports programs submit.
