Data Tools for Monitoring and Program Improvement:

New program directors, data system administrators and/or other data entry staff receive onboarding training from the AEI Office about how to use the statewide database. Ongoing technical assistance and support is available to all AEFLA staff utilizing the system.

State level program coordinators check data for compliance on a monthly basis. If there are data errors, local programs are contacted to fix the errors.

Local level data procedures are reviewed by state-level staff in year one of the three year grant cycle and on an as-needed basis if there are updates to the requirements, a program needs additional technical assistance in this area and/or new program staff have onboarded.

Request for Proposal applications and continuation applications, which include data targets and data entry procedure plans reviewed by program coordinators and/or the state director.

Meeting data entry requirements is a factor in the annual pre-risk assessment.

Data procedures and monitoring are topics programs may choose to reflect on in the Quarterly Progress Report programs submit.

Data entry is an element in the on-site monitoring process.

The annual Adult Education Program Referral Guide for WIOA partners provides a snapshot of each program’s AEFLA participant demographics and performance outcomes.
