The Georgia Adult Learners Information System (GALIS) is an internet-based MIS that is used by all Office of Adult Education grantees. It is used by the state office to monitor local program data collection and performance outcomes. Local programs use GALIS to track student progress, check teacher performance, and watch overall program outcomes. GALIS has a robust reports module that provides NRS reports at all levels as well as programmatic reports that help the local program to accomplish many tasks, such as knowing which students are ready to be post-tested, which sites need additional support, and to demonstrate program effectiveness to stakeholders.
