Data Tools for Monitoring and Program Improvement:
  • Database files are edited before loading into DB2tables. if Critical errors are found the DB2 tables are not loaded
  • Technical assistance papers for assessment, ESOL, and adult high school are available on the FLDOE website. Training is provided at various meetings and conferences on data quality and reporting.
  • The AGE grants require that programs use the same process that we use with OVAE in setting our state targets. Local programs develop plans to meet the state target within a certain time frame and may initiate program improvement plans if outcomes are low and not showing improvement. The Compliance and Monitoring Team uses NRS data as well as other data to ensure that programs are in compliance and showing program improvement (http://www.fldoe.org/workforce/compliance.asp).
