Data Tools for Monitoring and Program Improvement

The Adult Education Student Information System (AESIS) is a web-based data collection system used by Kansas Adult Education that assists local programs and state administrators in collecting and analyzing information on each learner and program. AEIS produces many reports that are used by local programs to improve their outcomes, and state level staff to support local programs, while also holding them accountable. Two of the many reports produced by AEIS are the Educational Gain Summaries and the Disaggregate Reports. Kansas Adult Education offers AEIS training at least once each year. These workshops train individuals on the data collection and reporting system itself, as well as on the surveying and data matching process, appropriate goal setting, and proper data analysis.
