Did You Know ...?

…Maine has revised its Adult Education statute to define adult education as a career pathways system. Local Maine programs use the career pathways model to help learners progress through a continuum of services, meeting each learner where they are and helping them reach their college and career goals.

 Data Tools for Monitoring and Program Improvement
  • Desk Audits comparing submitted data to other reports submitted by the local programs.
  • MaineSTARS includes the capability to produce reports comparing various performance measures for various subgroups; programs are provided with an annual Program Report Card that tracks that programs performance over a three year period.
  • State Staff audits data on an ongoing basis to make sure data is clean. Cross checks against other data reports that local programs are required to submit to the State.
  • Site visits to ensure program compliance with state and federal guidelines.
